Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY


This position is responsible for managing all functional aspects of the Dell Technologies Account in the North American Region including selling to, selling through, and selling with Dell. This highly visible role requires strategic planning, forecasting, AI sales innovation, strategic relationship building, and sales/order target attainment growth for the account. The position is responsible for developing and building working relationships with all facets of the customers organization and develop and implement sales strategies across the functional Dell Technologies sales organizations. The position is required to facilitate execution strategy and objectives across the organization via dedicated regional sales personnel to deliver results to the business; inclusive of selling with and to Dell Technologies as directed.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads, develops, and coaches a regional sales team to build a high-performance culture.
  • Develops and implements multi-stakeholder sales strategy; including account plans that will be delivered to sales management.
  • Builds strong relationships within the customer and becomes a trusted advisor with functional sales leaders, executive sales, and operations teams.
  • Identifies opportunities/sales in their initial stages and manages those deals through the entire sales cycle to close, and in some cases, delivery.
  • Strives for continuous improvement of sales execution in all functional selling areas.
  • Fully understands customer's technology requirements and pains and translates those into successful adoption of Vertiv solutions.
  • Promotes and sells through a high-level of product and application knowledge and familiarity of Vertiv solutions.
  • Forecasts, plans, and executes assigned revenue (Sales and Orders) targets and objectives.
  • Participates in and/or attends regional trade meetings, events, conventions or shows as required by the customer or as directed by Vertiv, often as a key speaker or facilitator.



QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong technical aptitude (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 12+ years of experience selling a technology product or service.
  • Documented experience of directly managing sales with channel partners and end users including Enterprise, Commercial, and Federal customers and partners.
  • Proven track record of selling in complex sales cycles with a focus on Infrastructure and AI applications.

Preferred

  • Master's degree.
  • Specific experience working for and or with Dell Technologies: their market, their network, their customers, and their competition.
  • Experience working with server OEM/ODM accounts
