Job Title: Electronic Services Lead
WAGE CLASSIFICATION: Electronic Technician Maintenance III
JOB SUMMARY: Leads and manages the electronic services work center. Provides communication-electronics operation/maintenance/repair/installation support to the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA).
Job Description: Reports to the Program Manager. Works independently or with a team. Provides digital and analog electronic services support to include but not limited to closed circuit television, broadcast studio, cable television, land mobile radio, satellite reception, access control, public address audio, security, and classroom projection equipment and systems. Installs communications-electronic equipment and systems. Provides on-call support as required. Manages all workload control, preventative maintenance inspection, and engineering/installation programs. Solves complex problems by troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and removing/replacing communication-electronics equipment and systems. Provides guidance to subordinates. Develops technical recommendations for modification or replacement of electronic equipment and systems. Maintains technological standards and investigates and promotes new technologies for use by USAFA. Reviews work, gives advice, counsels, and instructs employees on corrective actions if necessary. Listens to and resolves employee issues and directs unresolved problems to the Site Lead. Identifies developmental and training needs for all department employees. Develops and provides department budget inputs for daily and long-range requirement planning. Manages and adheres to work center Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and USAFA safety programs. Fulfills other work center duties as assigned. The above-mentioned duties require standing for long periods of time, the ability to climb ladders, and the ability to lift overhead 40 lbs items.
SECONDARY DUTIES: Provides support to other contract work centers in cases of manpower shortages or unexpected requirements.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Responsible for all assigned work center additional duties to include but not limited to safety, budget, publications/forms/technical orders, quality, test measurement diagnostic equipment, files, and hazardous waste. Other additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.
EXPERIENCE: Ten years of specialized experience in A/V communications equipment maintenance and two years of specialized experience in the setup and operation of commercial A/V equipment and systems.
EDUCATION: An associate’s degree in electronic systems technology. Equivalent experience can be used as a substitution for this degree.

Security Clearance Required: Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance and BICSI Technician Level certificate.
Position Type: Full Time
HOURLY RATE: $35.17 per SCA guidelines, you may be eligible for an additional $4.57 per hour for Health and Welfare, if you choose to waive company benefits.
