Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Transportation Director to lead and oversee our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transportation management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement transportation policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Oversee the planning and execution of transportation activities, including route optimization, fleet management, and logistics coordination.
Manage and lead a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of transportation operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize transportation processes and enhance overall service delivery.
Develop and manage the transportation budget, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in transportation management or a similar leadership role.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations, logistics, and fleet management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in using transportation management software and other relevant technology.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
