The P6 Scheduler will establish and maintain critical path method (CPM) project schedules onsite for an earthwork/soil and environmental remediation construction projects. Will identify variances from the project baseline, progress trends, and schedule-related issues that impact the business and the ability to achieve project schedule milestone dates for all construction activities required to deliver a complete operational project on time, on budget, and safely.
Responsibilities
Analyze construction data and perform mathematical calculations to determine material, tools, and manpower or human resource requirements for construction project schedules
Plan sequence of operations for guidance of construction crews
Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress of construction work performed, highlight any areas of concern for the project
Manage and streamline communication between leadership and the project management team related to completion dates, and interface between functional teams and the operational team to communicate any problems, change order issues, potential delays and then generate an action plan to move forward
Expedite operations that delay and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
Coordinate project schedules, production and progress tracking, and forecast activity to support all project reporting needs with a high level of accuracy
Establish, update and maintain the project schedule with all engineering and procurement, construction requirements integrated into one single project critical pathway
Generate project-specific resource requirements and manpower loading, generate manpower histograms, and offer levelization recommendations to minimize project risk and control cost for the project
Monitor project critical path activities, make recommendations to the Project Manager that capture parallel path opportunities to accelerate physical completion and reduce cost-to-complete
Generate 2-week look ahead schedules for projects, successfully identify and detect potential problem areas, notify management of any issues in a timely manner to create weekly discussion at project meetings that develop a corrective action plan to restore progress and recover construction projects
Ensure compliance with all project control procedures and reporting requirements
Coordinate progress updates and Key Performance Indicator production curve trend analysis
