The overall purpose of this position is to lead and manage the financial project management process for MGA's Geographic Units and deliver a best-in-class user experience for our internal & external customers (staff and volunteers). The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for coordination of project activities, producing the various documentation associated with project lifecycles addressing technical aspects of financial projects. This position will work closely with the Finance & Administration, Information Technology and Operating Unit business resources for analysis efforts related to projects, when needed.
The incumbent collaborates and establishes an open line of communication with all levels within the organization (Treasury, Controllers, Tax, and other IEEE OU's) and works closely with upper management to maintain consistent best practices. In addition, this position is responsible for high valued customer service and problem-solving expertise to the volunteers. This role reports to the Senior Director of Business Finance Solutions for MGA under the CFO's organization with no direct reports. In addition, this role supports the MGA Management Council Representative, who remains the primary client along with MGA Geo Unit's volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
Management of financial projects for Business Finance Solutions team
Responsible for the project management of the NextGen systems and processes for MGA staff & volunteers
Must have the ability to analyze project requests and clarify specific tasks, next steps and deliverables
Works closely with cross-functional teams, including developers & designers, to define platform requirements and prioritize tasks
Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management to ensure timely and successful platform launches and updates.
Be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who understands and seeks out technology solutions to business challenges
Author technical and functional requirements based on business needs, innovation/discovery process and customer research
Monitor, identify and troubleshoot issues related to platform functionality, performance, and user experience
Work with program and technical teams to prioritize and implement bug fixes, performance improvements, and feature requests
Understand staff and volunteer user personas and their needs to ensure platforms are tailored to their expectations
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that align with user expectations and best practices
Document platform feedback and deficiencies in need of escalation or resolution in subsequent releases. Directly assist users or stakeholders with more complex use cases
Utilize various analytical tools, such as Google Analytics and Tableau, to extract meaningful insights and generate reports on platform performance
Financial OU Operating Support - Develop financial database for tracking the Geo Unit’s non-banking financial data
Treasury, Legal & Compliance, Audit & Tax Liaison – coordination with these teams on OU financial projects
Oversee GIEEE financial processes for India Sections & Council
Maintain & update all volunteer financial process training materials for Geo Units (websites, manuals, Sections Congress, Treasurer Training and Region Meetings) and ensure compliance with all applicable governance documents.
Must be able to identify and analyze issues and problems and recommend/ implement solutions

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration Req
Associate's degree or equivalent experience Information Technology or Information Systems Pref

Successful record of increasing efficiency, accuracy, and financial visibility by creating, streamlining and improving processes, systems, and reports with the ability to recognizeareas that are prime for such improvement review consideration
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities with analytical ability to resolve issues quickly & accurately
Customer focus, communication and interpersonal skills; Must be able to work well with various levels of staff and volunteers including IEEE senior management and volunteer leadership

Ability to understand the larger picture, within the context of the operating unit and at the IEEE level
Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of accounting and internal controls
Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, Cloud Software and other MS products
Detailed and results oriented. Must be able to monitor and check work for accuracy.
This position works with limited direction, under minimal supervision, and manages the process with general overall guidance
