Why You Will Love this Job:



The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Rehlko's inbound and outbound shipping operations. They will manage a team of Logistics Coordinators and one freight payment coordinator. Overview of the position is as follows: collaborating with the planning and customer service teams, facilitating shipment scheduling, monitoring transportation costs, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery of product, process improvement initiatives, and setting prioritization and operational metrics.



Key responsibilities:

• Work with 3PL and carriers to ensure smooth execution
  
  


• Monitor carrier performance metrics (on-time delivery, damage rates, etc.).
  
  


• Resolve carrier issues and disputes.
  
  


• Exception management and auditing of freight invoices.
  
  


• Implement cost-saving strategies such as route optimization and load consolidation -working with the procurement team.
  
  


• Select/Ensure appropriate carriers and transportation modes (truck, rail, air) based on cost, speed, and delivery requirements.
  
  


• Partner with TMS provider to deliver freight procurement savings and avoidances.
  
  


• Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations (DOT, FMCSA, etc.)
  
  


• Manage documentation related to shipping and compliance
  
  


• Improve automation for documentation process
  
  


• Work with trade compliance to ensure all import and exports are processed appropriately and timely
  
  


• Facilitate the communication of status updates to customer service and planning teams
  
  


• Address customer concerns regarding delivery issues
  
  


• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency and team's performance
  
  


• Personnel training coaching and reviews
  
  

Required skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
  
  


• Minimum 5 years of Experience managing North American ( US, Canada and Mexico) Logistics and Transportation team in a manufacturing environment. Must have strong knowledge of various modes of transportation including FTL, LTL, Air and Ocean to ensure carrier performance and contract management.
  
  


• International Logistics and Trade Compliance experience are a plus.
  
  


• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
  
  


• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software
  
  


• Experience with SAP
  
  


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  
  


• Analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities
  
  


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  
  


• Must have supervisory experience and a willingness to step into to day to day to assist the team.
  
  

The salary range for this position is $98,900 - $125,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
