Overview:

In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Program Manager. In this role, you will be leading a team of up to 50 FTEs within the Office of Chief Information Officer. You will be responsible for managing the planning, operations, personnel, budget, schedule, product deliverable quality and technical support for IT application and web site development and maintenance, web application infrastructure guidance, and other on-site technical services. The focus of these IT support activities is creation, development, maintenance, operation, and support of a web application infrastructure that provides an efficient, effective, reliable, and secure computing environment in support of the Agency's mission.

  • Location: Hybrid role in Bethesda, MD.

  • Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to pass a background check.




What Youll do:

The application environment includes more than 50 applications to support the Extramural community, administrative community, and for the public outreach. Many applications are integrated with the enterprise applications. In compliance with the Cloud Smart initiative, the client's public websites are hosted in Azure.

  • You will assist the customer in the development of plans for application development in support of the customer mission. The planning process will provide a means to tie the customer's business vision to ongoing technology decisions for Applications and Public Websites and help to build consensus between business and technology solutions.
  • You will work with the CIO and COR in the development of detailed plans including schedule, cost, and risk for new applications and technologies.
  • You will also work directly with customer managers and stakeholders, and with selected project managers and staff of the customer organization based on priorities set by the CIO. This support shall include, but not be limited to, the technical evaluation of program/project proposals, the review of program/project deliverables, quality assurance of
  • Provide oversite of all work and furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and services (except as otherwise specified in the contract).
  • Comply with Federal Government policies and procedures to meet fast turnaround deadlines
  • Adhere to Federal Government contracting and billing processes along with experience in cost control management.
  • Provide contract management and administration to the overall contract.
  • Interface directly with customer stakeholders, subcontract teamming partners (if applicable), and Tantus leadership.


Required knowledge and skills

  • Min. 10 years of IT management experience and at least 3 years of experience managing projects with similar size and scope for Federal Government.
  • Master’s degree in technical and/or business administration. A Bachelor’s degree in an associated field and 4 additional years of IT project management experience is acceptable in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • Active PMP certification.
  • Agile SDLC, web application development. Azure DevOps, .NET application development experience.


Abilities

  • Understanding of Federal Government policies and procedures and demonstrated ability to meet fast turnaround deadlines.
  • Understanding of Federal Government contracting and billing processes along with experience in cost control management.


Nice to haves

  • Extensive experience managing information technology evaluations.
  • Extensive experience developing and tracking schedule, cost, and risk for projects with similar size and scope in an Information Technology environment.


Salary Range:
  • Salary range is $160,000-175,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
