Job Description:





  • Manage and triage the Leave of Absence and Accommodations inboxes maintaining a 24-hour response time, composing responses, directing intake call setups, and evaluating risk to involve leadership as needed.

  • Manage and administer all leave requests, paid or unpaid, including FMLA, personal leave, accommodations, and other statutory leaves with support from the Leave Specialist.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of all requests for reasonable accommodations including intake calls, the interactive process, communication with team members and leadership, and maintaining communication once an accommodation is implemented

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations including oversight of the FMLA certification process.

  • Provide guidance and support to the Leave Specialist, team members, leaders and HR team regarding leave policies and procedures.

  • Support initial escalations associated with urgent or complex leave and accommodation matters, partnering closely with team members, their leaders, HR, and legal/risk as needed.

  • Oversee and maintain the accurate and up-to-date input and management of leave and accommodation case records in Workday and/or other case management tools

  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate leave payments and deductions.

  • Communicate with team members on leave to provide updates and support during the full leave lifecycle, including the return-to-work process.

  • Manage worker's compensation claims, reporting, and requests with assistance from the Leave Specialist.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field

  • 5 years of direct specialized experience with leave of absence, FMLA and accommodations

  • 3+ years' experience in a multistate environment including but not limited to California, New Jersey, New York, Colorado, and/or Connecticut; candidates with exposure to international processes, especially in the UK, are highly encouraged to apply

  • 2-3 years managing leave and accommodations including management or supervision of 1 or more direct reports

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, local leave laws and regulations.

  • Strong communication via email, messaging and phone. Detail orientated and willing to ask questions.

  • Knowledge of Workday highly preferred, or proficiency in another HRIS / Case Management system

  • Candidates with experience administering leave for a self-insured employer and experience in professional services are encouraged to apply.
