What will you be doing?


Step into a pivotal role where you'll work directly with Costco's merchandising teams in Issaquah, WA. Collaborate closely with both the client and internal Circana teams to leverage insights from Circana data on Costco's portfolio. Dive into retailer-level purchase dynamics, household purchase behavior, business reviews, and custom projects to drive impactful decisions. Be the client's advocate and seize new opportunities to grow our partnership.

We're looking for candidates with a background in Merchandising, Category Management, or analytics roles that provided POS/Loyalty-based insights for retailers or consumer manufacturing clients. If you have a passion for uncovering actionable insights from data, a curiosity about the "why" behind questions, and strong analysis, storytelling, and communication skills, we want to hear from you!


Job Responsibilities


  • Insightful Analysis: Respond to client requests for insights by using existing databases, providing analyses, leveraging thought leadership, collaborating with internal partners, and tracking the impact of the partnership.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continually enhance ongoing reporting to provide increased value and efficiency while integrating Circana insights into the client's decision-making processes.

  • Client Satisfaction: Create a high level of client satisfaction by setting expectations and providing excellent customer service; build strong, ongoing relationships with all levels of management at the account.

  • User Engagement: Broaden the user base of Circana data through effective demonstrations of how our data can help accomplish the client's goals; develop and host retailer-centric platform training and continuing education.

  • Innovative Solutions: Evaluate how Circana's products and services can address key business issues and introduce new products to clients as needed.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Leverage Circana's industry analysts, practice area counterparts, and corporate resources to enhance overall insights.

  • Methodology Expertise: Handle inquiries about methodology and data validation across various business areas.




Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in client-facing market research, consumer insights, category management, or related roles is a must.
  • Business development experience desirable; retail experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in working with syndicated data solutions (point-of-sale/POS, consumer panel data, etc.) to identify business opportunities, experience with Circana/IRI/NPD datasets is preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate data and analysis into meaningful insights utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to engage with clients in a consultative manner; strong analytical skills to synthesize data into meaningful insights.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and achieve goals
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field required

Location


This position can be located in the following area(s): strong preference for the Greater Seattle area. This position supports a client in the Pacific Standard Time zone and candidate must be willing to align work hours to largely overlap with client.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000.

This job is also eligible for annual incentive plan at 5% of annual pay.
