This 4-week high school summer program at The Heritage Group will provide high school students aged 16+ with opportunities for personal, professional, and career development; mentorship and networking opportunities with college interns and full-time THG employees; and teambuilding with other program participants. You will also gain in-depth knowledge about The Heritage Group and its family of companies, which will assist you in your career planning and aspirations after high school.
Essential Functions
Develop personal and professional skills and competencies through various means
Participate in team-building activities
Learn about The Heritage Group family of companies through site visits, speakers, and employee engagement
Develop networking skills and put them into practice
Create and present a final presentation about your experience and a business problem
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company's core values, competencies, and skills.
Education Qualifications
High School or Equivalent This program is open to all high school students and recent high school graduates at least 16 years of age. Current high school students prioritized.
Experience Qualifications
No prior work experience required.
Skills and Abilities
Willingness to learn about and develop personal and professional workplace competencies
Willingness to practice communication skills and apply feedback
Familiarity with basic computer operations
Ability to be punctual and abide by workplace dress code
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
A "figure it out" mentality and willingness to tackle any situation that may come your way
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items and walk short distances.
