Established organization is hiring for a Member Services Specialist on a Direct Hire basis who has experience working within full benefits customer service in the greater Los Angeles area. Pay range: $70-75k.
Responsibilities:
Acts as the main point of contact for member service inquiries.
Listens actively and engages with members and team members with a positive, solution-oriented approach.
Identifies, prioritizes, and escalates complex or urgent member issues as necessary.
Maintains a detailed understanding of member benefits.
Oversees the member application process.
Assists with member billing and account management.
Supports communication and messaging efforts to promote LAFRA.
Delivers presentations to City of Los Angeles Rookie Firefighter classes.
Contributes to marketing and communications initiatives.
Prepares monthly reports for the Board of Trustees.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
Demonstrated experience collaborating with or working for non-profit organizations/associations.
Proven expertise in executing member service functions.
Familiarity with managing medical insurance premium processes.
