Job Description:

Established organization is hiring for a Member Services Specialist on a Direct Hire basis who has experience working within full benefits customer service in the greater Los Angeles area. Pay range: $70-75k.



Responsibilities:

• Acts as the main point of contact for member service inquiries.


• Listens actively and engages with members and team members with a positive, solution-oriented approach.


• Identifies, prioritizes, and escalates complex or urgent member issues as necessary.


• Maintains a detailed understanding of member benefits.


• Oversees the member application process.


• Assists with member billing and account management.


• Supports communication and messaging efforts to promote LAFRA.


• Delivers presentations to City of Los Angeles Rookie Firefighter classes.


• Contributes to marketing and communications initiatives.


• Prepares monthly reports for the Board of Trustees.


• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required


• Demonstrated experience collaborating with or working for non-profit organizations/associations.


• Proven expertise in executing member service functions.


• Familiarity with managing medical insurance premium processes.
