Job Description:

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent Manufacturing partner located in St Paul needing to add to their Accounts Payable team! If you have AP experience and are looking to start a new positon immediatley then this could be the position for you!


  • Pay: $23-$27/hr

  • Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (flexible)

  • ASAP Start - 2 Month contract




Key Responsibilities:



  • Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies or billing issues.

  • Maintain and update vendor files, records, and payment information in the accounting system.

  • Prepare and reconcile accounts payable reports, supporting monthly and year-end close activities.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and approval for all transactions.

  • Assist with audit preparation by providing detailed documentation and responding to inquiries regarding accounts payable activities.

  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with vendors as needed.




Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.

  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
