SUMMARY

Subaru of America is seeking a dynamic Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist who is passionate about connecting top talent with meaningful careers! In this role, you will lead strategic recruitment initiatives, design high-impact hiring campaigns, and foster strong brand and community engagements. You'll play a key role in sourcing talent, while embodying Subaru's Love Promise by delivering respectful and engaging experiences for all candidates. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Sourcing & Recruitment



  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Leads the end-to-end recruitment process for various roles across the Subaru of America (SOA) operations, encompassing candidate sourcing, conducting interviews, evaluating and proposing compensation packages, negotiating offers, and managing the seamless onboarding of new hires.

  • Hiring Strategy Development: Designs and implements strategic hiring plans for positions up to Director level that may require more expertise, ensuring a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates for critical roles within the organization.

  • Develop Talent Pipeline: Implements proactive sourcing strategies and collaborates with HR Business Partner(s) and hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs aligned with organizational goals. Uses advanced candidate sourcing methods such as social media, professional networks, and resume databases to identify and attract candidates.

  • Optimization of Recruitment Tools: Continuously evaluates and refines sourcing tools and methods to enhance the recruitment process and improve candidate quality.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Oversees relationships with key recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor to maximize talent outreach and sourcing efficiency. Ensures that Subaru content is compliant and current and that comments are properly addressed. Plans touchpoint sessions with representatives from the recruitment platforms.

Brand & Community Engagement


  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serves as a Subaru brand ambassador, actively promoting the company's values and opportunities, particularly in the Camden, Dallas, and Denver communities and other key markets with high talent demand.

  • Collaborative Branding Initiatives: Partners with Subaru's internal marketing and communications teams to develop and enhance employer brand campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

  • Employee Engagement: Trains and guides SOA hiring teams, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and individual team members on effectively using community and social channels to serve as a talent ambassador and promote Subaru as an employer of choice.

  • Strengthen Community Ties: Establishes and nurtures ongoing relationships with educational institutions, vendors, and community organizations to bolster recruitment efforts and strengthen employer branding. Leverages networks and relationships to enhance recruitment outreach and attract top talent, reflecting Subaru's commitment to community and innovation.

Talent Experience & Advisory


  • Optimize Recruitment & Onboarding Processes: Ensures an exemplary experience from initial application to final hire, actively managing communications and updates to enhance candidate and internal team engagement. Drives the onboarding process to create a welcoming environment for new hires, coordinating with relevant departments to equip them with the necessary tools and materials for a successful start.

  • Strategic Hiring Collaboration: Partners with HR and business leaders to tailor recruitment strategies for each role, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and goals. Influences effective recruiting approaches, including establishing competency-based interview questions and setting realistic expectations on timelines, compensation, and candidate quality.

  • Hiring Team Mentorship: Works closely with interview panels to ensure thorough preparation, providing them with essential candidate information and expected competencies to streamline the interview process.

  • Candidate Care: Manage candidate expectations and engages talent throughout the hiring process.

  • Inclusive Hiring: Provides ongoing guidance to hiring teams on reducing bias in the selection process and oversees the completion of various talent acquisition projects and initiatives.

  • Talent Market Insight: Conducts research to gauge the needs and perceptions of potential candidates, utilizing insights to refine recruitment strategies and enhance the overall talent experience. Acts as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on market trends, competitive intelligence/current events with our competitors, and talent acquisition strategies.

Recruitment Strategy & Optimization


  • Performance Metrics and Analysis: Tracks and analyzes key talent acquisition metrics from applicant tracking system and other recruitment platforms, including time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, and cost per hire, to optimize recruitment processes and outcomes and to demonstrate ROI on recruitment efforts.

  • TA Programs: Oversees the design and implementation of and takes ownership of Talent Acquisition-related programs (such as internship program and military recruiting) to include the development of strategic partnerships with professional organizations and colleges/universities. Partners with departments across SOA to conduct needs assessments for future program development and develops goals for the program. Demonstrates subject matter expertise in defined business area and for associated program(s).

REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS


  • Educational and Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent of six (6) or more years of relevant work experience. A minimum of six (6) to eight (8) years in strategic recruiting and talent advisory roles is essential.

  • High-Level Recruitment Expertise: Proven experience in managing recruitment for all levels up to Director-level positions as assigned by manager and overseeing large-scale hiring initiatives. Familiarity with behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques and assessments. Expertise in recruiting for Automotive, Sales, Corporate, Technical, Engineering, Operations, and related fields.

  • Advanced Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with proficiency in presenting complex data and recruitment trends clearly and effectively.

  • Sourcing and Recruitment Skills: Strong experience in sourcing, creating talent pools, and proactively recruiting passive candidates to meet both immediate and future organizational needs.

  • Technological Proficiency: Skilled in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), with a preference for experience with Oracle Recruiting module (ORC). Capable of managing complex projects effectively within a matrixed organization.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

  • Required Travel: 15%

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $83800 - $115000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (Internal Job Grade: P3)
