Job Description:
Budgets, Accounting, and Invoices, Oh My! The Nebraska - Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (N-MIECHV) is looking for a Federal Aid Administrator. (A19612 Federal Aid Administrator II).
In this vital role, you will develop N-MIECHV alignment with DHHS financial policies, track grant expenditures, and ensure compliance with federal guidelines. Your analytical expertise will shine through as you assist in creating annual budgets, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and conduct desk audits for sub-award recipient monitoring.
If you hold a bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting and have at least two years of relevant experience (or equivalent education), we want to hear from you!
Experience with federal grants and proficiency in Excel is a plus. Help us navigate the financial landscape and drive impactful results.
The N-MIECHV program (pron. en-mick-VEE), improves family lifespan health outcomes and advances the prevention of child maltreatment by using federal and state funds for evidence-based home visiting programs.
Job Duties:
Development and annual review of financial policy/procedure within the N- MIECHV program.
Submission and tracking of multiple sub-award invoices.
Review new federal policies that relate to funding grants and supervise the implementation of those policies.
Participation in federal site visits and overseeing the financials for the grant program.
Assist in the development of annual budgets including braiding different sources of funding and the reinforcement of federal guidelines for expenditures.
Provide technical direction in preparation of all grant documents and reports to ensure compliance with federal regulations including preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for the grant.
Conduct bi-annual (every other year) desk audits/reviews for sub-recipient monitoring,
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or other appropriate curriculum, plus two years of significantly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with federal grants. Experience using Excel
Other: Valid Driver's License Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, methods, and procedures.
Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations and Uniform Grant Guidance
Ability to make relatively difficult mathematical computations and to analyze financial transactions.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders; develop and maintain good relationships, and follow through regarding accountability
