The Harness Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling electrical wiring harnesses, which connect various electrical components within vehicles, machinery, or other systems. The technician ensures that all assemblies meet quality standards, are built to specification, and are ready for installation. Key Responsibilities:
Assemble Wiring Harnesses: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to assemble wiring harnesses for various systems.
Wire Preparation: Cut, strip, crimp, and solder wires to proper lengths, ensuring all connections are secure and functional.
Component Installation: Attach connectors, terminals, and other hardware to the wires according to assembly specifications.
Testing and Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and testing of completed harnesses to verify accuracy and functionality, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
Labeling and Documentation: Properly label and document each harness with the appropriate part numbers and assembly details.
Troubleshooting: Identify and correct any issues or defects during the assembly process, including wire misplacement or improper connections.
Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements in the assembly process to increase efficiency or reduce errors.
This is a full-time opportunity
Hours: 8am-4:30pm possible OT
The ideal candidate will have:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; technical certifications or training in electrical assembly is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in electrical assembly or wiring is preferred, but not always required.
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle small parts and tools with precision.
Basic Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of wiring diagrams, electrical components, and their function.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and work in a seated or standing position for long periods.
Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
