The Osher Clinical Center for Integrative Health and the Fish Center for Women's Health are both hospital-licensed ambulatory practices at 850 Boylston Street in Chestnut Hill. Under the direction of the Regional Administrator, the Practice Manager of the Osher Clinical Center and the medical specialties and gynecology practices within the Fish Center for Women's Health (the Practice Manager) has primary responsibility for managing all aspects of clinic operations and additional responsibilities to support cross-team functions across the two clinics. The Practice Manager is responsible for patient-focused customer service, clinical operations, human resources, office management, and cross-functional leadership.


The Practice Manager supervises the Fish/Osher Practice Coordinator, the administrative staff and some of the hybrid administrative/clinical staff to ensure the highest-quality patient experience and satisfaction. S/he is responsible for maintaining and implementing policies and procedures related to the daily practice operations and ensuring that all relevant regulatory and other professional standards are maintained. The Practice Manager works closely with the RN Flow Manager to promptly address and resolve the concerns of the providers, staff, and patients. S/he will also work closely with other members of the Fish Center and Osher Clinical Center leadership teams to develop and carry out goals, initiatives, and special projects.


The Practice Manager is an integral part of assisting the Regional Administrator with implementing BWH Ambulatory initiatives, participating in continuous improvement projects, and coordinating work related to the clinics' growth.



Job Summary
Summary:
Responsible for small-medium single-site practice or smaller multi-site practices (3 or more locations). Provides direct supervision of the administrative and clinical support staff, and operational duties and functions. As a member of the leadership team, provides administrative cross coverage to manage staffing and/or operational issues.

Essential Functions
-Oversees the day-to-day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manage staff schedules. Evaluates daily staffing needs and coordinates replacement of staff.
-Performs hiring, orientation and evaluation of staff. Administers corrective action if appropriate.
-Assists in the career development of practice employees through on-going coaching, counseling, and training. Ensures all mandatory training is completed by staff and HIPAA policies and procedures are followed by staff. Evaluates, develops and implements administrative systems and procedures designed to maximize practice operations. Regularly evaluates and analyzes practice performance metrics. Collaborates with practice leaders on the preparation of the practices annual budgets.
-Oversees the department's payroll including the resolution of payroll issues. Monitors patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures. All other duties assigned.
