Overview



Falconwood is a woman-owned / veteran-owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects, focusing on acquisition, cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, and process development.Falconwood is looking for a Software (Data) Engineer to support USFF's software / data engineering initiatives. This role involves building data ETL and ELT pipelines in Navy/DOD common data environments such as Advana/Jupiter for use in reporting, dashboards, and/or modeling.

Responsibilities



Responsibilities- Manage all tasks related to Qlik Sense, including development, maintenance and troubleshooting.- Develop Data Visualization reports, metrics, dashboards, and other techniques to communicate information.- Perform Data transformation and migration.- Develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and functionality.- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.- Create and maintain technical documentation.- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.- Gather and analyze data, organize, and document findings of studies, and prepare recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.


Preferred - Experience with Microsoft Power Platform development.- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.- Proficiency or familiarity with data sources and systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) and Program Budget Information System (PBIS)- Certification in relevant technologies.- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data pipelines, utilizing ETL processes and technologies such as Databricks, Python, JavaScript/JSON, SQL, and Jupyter Notebooks.- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.- Experience with GIT and Microsoft AzureDevOps (ADO)

Qualifications



Qualifications- Must be a United States citizen.- Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Information Systems Management and three (3) years' experience or six (6) years' of specialized experience conducting requirements analysis, designing, developing and administering database applications.- Experience with data migration and ETL processes- Strong background in requirements development and data analytics, including proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytic techniques in a DOD setting.- Proven experience as a Software Developer or similar role.- Experience with DoN ADVANA Jupiter Platform- Proficiency with Qlik Sense, Databricks, Microsoft SQL, ASP.NET framework 4.8 and MVC 5, C#, Visual Studio, PowerShell, CSS, JSON, XML, jQuery, KendoUI, Vanilla JavaScript, HTML, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Designer.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.- Ability to create and effectively communicate a Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs)- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay Range



$85,000 - $95,000
