Our client is seeking a Sr. Product Manager/Director, Product Management in Cary, NC.
Role Description
• Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the company's long-term goals, values, and mission.
• Through extensive market research, build and manage a robust innovation pipeline, and eventually oversee the development of new products, services, or processes through various stages from concept to launch.
• Actively monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to identify potential opportunities for innovation and disruption.
• Manage members of the innovation team
Skills & Requirements
• Experience in conducting market research (market trends, customer segmentation, competitive landscape, etc.).
• Experience in building business cases to justify investment in new growth opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Knowledge of software development and related technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and creative approach to problem-solving.
• Rail experience/ exposure (preferably developed software solutions to parties in the North American railroad ecosystem)
• Experience/ exposure to other modes beyond rail: trucking, ocean (preferably developed software solutions or services).
• Experience with Design Thinking tools and methodologies.
• SAAS product management experience
• Must be willing to relocate to Cary NC and work at the office 4 days a week.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (product management, consulting, market research, innovation).
• Bachelor's degree in business administration/related field (or equivalent related work experience).
• Nice to have: MBA
• Ability to travel: less than 25%.
• Experience leading teams, experience with market research, competitive landscape, experience leading innovation & change & strategy
• Rail, Trucking, Ocean software solutions (mutli-modal products)
