Position Summary

The Regulatory Portfolio Lead is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the company's portfolio of responses to regulatory inquiries, findings, and enforcement actions as well as the execution of respective remediation efforts. This individual will lead the development, governance, and execution of a structured, enterprise-wide remediation program to ensure enterprise-wide transparency, compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigation risks, and enhance the company's regulatory posture. Specifically, this role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process and toll-gating of the remediation efforts. The SVP will collaborate across business units, ensuring alignment with legal, compliance, and operational teams while engaging with regulatory agencies as needed in support of the oversight of these programs.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Response Management



  • Lead the oversight and programmatic governance of responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and enforcement actions from global regulatory authorities.

  • Ensure timely, strategic, and accurate communication with regulators, including submission of required documentation, corrective action plans, and progress updates.

  • Serve as the primary point of oversight and governance of remediation efforts adhering to internally defined controls and processes (e.g., tollgates, milestones, delivery dates, etc.) maintaining transparency and credibility.

Remediation Program Leadership

  • Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive remediation program that addresses regulatory responses and ensures sustainable compliance improvements/solutions.

  • Establish governance frameworks, escalation protocols, and cross-functional collaboration structures to manage remediation activities effectively.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and effectiveness of remediation efforts.


Risk Mitigation & Compliance Enhancement

  • Proactively identify regulatory risks and implement strategies to mitigate future compliance issues across the portfolio of regulatory remediations.

  • Partner with legal, compliance, risk management, and business unit leaders to strengthen internal controls and processes.

  • Ensure that remediation efforts align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of regulatory remediation professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement (direct and matrixed employees).

  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on the portfolio regulatory response and remediation activities to senior leadership and the board of directors (as applicable).

  • Work closely with legal, finance, operations, and compliance teams to ensure cross-functional coordination and strategic alignment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in managing regulatory efforts, program and project management, and will as working effectively with compliance, legal, risk management, or related fields, with a significant focus on regulatory response and remediation.

  • Extensive experience managing regulatory interactions with agencies and other relevant global regulatory bodies.

  • Adept expertise and extensive experience managing a portfolio of programs/projects

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, enforcement trends, and industry best practices.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large-scale remediation programs and driving organizational change.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes while balancing business needs and compliance requirements.

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., financial services, technology, etc.).

  • Background in crisis management and regulatory findings/investigations.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading enterprise-wide compliance transformation initiatives.

Masters and undergrad degrees qualified with a financial, technology or analytical discipline preferred, or relevant experience within the financial services industry

Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience in driving strategy, transformation, and building out advance analytical and data-informed analysis capabilities

Willingness and ability to travel.

Salary Range:
$225,000 - $337,500 Annual
