Location: Clyde Hill, WA

Salary: $45.00 USD Hourly - $50.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Field Technician - III






Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years
The Wireless Field Technician plays a critical role in ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance of wireless networks. This hands-on position involves installation, troubleshooting, and upgrade of wireless network infrastructure, encompassing a wide array of equipment and technologies. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of wireless communication principles, hands-on technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional network service.

Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Configuration:
Install, configure, and test wireless network equipment, including access points, antennas, repeaters, base stations, cell site routers and microwave links.
Implement network configurations based on project specifications and engineering designs.
Troubleshooting & Optimization:
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, resolving them efficiently to minimize turn up time.
Collaborate with Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel to troubleshoot network problems as needed.
Site Surveys & Assessments:

Conduct site surveys to assess signal strength, coverage, and potential interference issues.
Utilize specialized tools and software to collect and analyze RF data as directed.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installation and integration activities
Document network configurations and changes.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols when working on wireless network equipment.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.


Qualifications & Skills:
Education:


High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in wireless networking are a plus.
Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience in wireless network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of wireless technologies e.g., LTE and 5G
Familiarity with backhaul transport network protocols and architectures e.g. EBH, Nokia, Dark Fiber and Lit circuits.


Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Must haves:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Personal Vehicle for travel to and from work and sites.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.



Physical Demands:

The Wireless Field Technician role involves:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Driving for extended periods.
Work Environment:

The work environment for this role can vary depending on the project and location. The technician may work:
At customer sites, including office buildings, retail stores, and industrial facilities.
On rooftops and towers.
In remote and rural areas.
Additional Considerations:
Industry Certifications: Certifications such as CWNA, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+ can enhance a candidate's qualifications.
Experience with Specific Vendors: Familiarity with equipment and technologies from major wireless vendors (e.g., Nokia, Cisco, Ciena, Juniper, Ericsson) is preferred.
Knowledge of Fiber Optics: Experience with fiber optic cleaning, testing, cabling and termination can be a valuable asset for certain projects.
