Job Title: Energy Management Systems / SCADA Consultant I


Work Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)


Duration: 12+ month contract with potential to convert to FTE



Overview:


This role is part of an operational support team, focusing on day-to-day operations rather than project-based work.



Top Responsibilities

• Addressing operational issues and troubleshooting
• Collaborating with the vendor (GE) to triage issues
• Investigating the issue log and resolving outstanding issues when there are no immediate concerns
• Training and learning new skills during downtime
• Supporting transmissions, commercial operations, and other partners using the systems
• Acting as the first point of contact for these teams
• Working within a team of 6 full-time employees and 1 contractor
• Occasionally engaging in project-based work, though primarily focused on daily operations

Qualifications:

• 
  Experience: 2-3 years in a similar role
• 
  Technical Skills:
  
• Experience in an EMS environment (preferably with GE SCADA products, specifically XA/21, though training is available for other systems)
• Knowledge of RTU and ICCP
• Familiarity with utilities (as these products are mainly used in this industry)

Preferred:

• NERC-CIP certification
