Job Title: Business Execution Associate - Derivative Collateral Management


Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)


Length: 12+ months with potential to convert fulltime.


Project Summary: This contractor will support the Derivative Collateral Management team. Senior team members will focus on optimization efforts while newer team members handle day-to-day tasks. The department supports the collateralization of derivative, repurchase agreement (repo), forward, TBA Agency MBS, and foreign exchange (FX) businesses. The team is responsible for approximately 700 margin calls daily and the settlement and management of collateral for nearly 30,000 clients across multiple business lines and legal entities.


Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in or support low complexity initiatives within Business Execution.
• Review basic or tactical issues, policies, or procedures for quick resolution.
• Receive direction from supervisors and exercise judgment within defined parameters.
• Provide information to client personnel in Business Execution.
• Support senior team members transitioning to optimization efforts by taking over day-to-day tasks.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed based on skill set.

Desired Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Macros and V-Lookups.
• FINRA Series 7 license (not required to be active).
• Familiarity with Tableau for reporting.
• Knowledge of FX products, collateral, fixed income products, swaps, accounting, equity FX background, general ledger, and client-facing experience.
• Ability to interpret executed International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Master Agreements, Credit Support Annex (CSA), MSFTA, and GMRA documents.

Top Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of loan, securities, and derivative products.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Macros, V-Lookups, etc.).

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-starter with an aggressive work ethic and self-discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
