Job Description:



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Fabrication Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques, and hands-on experience working with pressure vessels and pipe welding in an AWS/ASME-compliant environment. As the Lead Welder, you will work closely with engineers and other team members, contributing to the manufacturing of complex steel and aluminum components, while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.



Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform advanced welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, on steel, aluminum, and other metals.
  
  


• Fabricate and weld pressure vessels, pipe assemblies, and complex structures to meet AWS and ASME standards.
  
  


• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  
  


• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, and perform non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
  
  


• Train, mentor, and oversee junior welders and fabrication team members to ensure adherence to best practices.
  
  


• Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  
  


• Monitor and enforce safety regulations in the fabrication area to maintain a secure working environment.
  
  


• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure efficient workflow in the fabrication shop.
  
  


• Troubleshoot and resolve welding and fabrication-related challenges during the production process.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a heavy fabrication or industrial environment.
  
  


• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques, with a focus on steel and aluminum.
  
  


• Extensive experience welding pressure vessels, pipe assemblies, and complex metal structures.
  
  


• In-depth knowledge of AWS and ASME codes and standards.
  
  


• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, including visual and mechanical testing.
  
  


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical documents.
  
  


• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
  
  


• Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  
  


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  
  


• Welding certifications (AWS or ASME) are highly preferred.
