Purpose
This position exists to identify, coordinate, and supervise work on the assets associated with Harrison Steel Processing, with a focus on the mechanical equipment. This position requires availability on the off shifts based on business needs.
Responsibilities
Improve equipment and process reliability utilizing available delay data to prioritize work.
Increase efficiency of maintenance workforce through detailed job plans and technical instruction when required.
Coordinate contracted services and repairs based upon asset operating schedules.
Manage spare parts inventory through controlled storerooms and Metallus identification standards.
Ensure execution of shutdown/outage work to a predetermined budget and schedule.
Communicate effectively across business departments to improve job execution and asset reliability.
Perform root cause analysis.
Intimate reliability knowledge of Steel Processing assets.
Ensure all safety training and rules are followed by maintainers.
Participate in safety and housekeeping audits
Identify and maintain critical spare inventory levels, working with storeroom
Technical Skills
Familiarity with IBM Maximo CMMS or other comparable CMMS
Reading mechanical engineering drawings
Project management
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Product Suite, including Teams, Excel, Word, etc.
Troubleshooting mechanical/hydraulic systems
Minimum Qualifications
High School/GED with at least 7 years of experience as a maintainer, technician, or maintenance planner/supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in engineering or engineering technology with at least 4 years of experience as a maintainer, technician, or maintenance planner/supervisor
Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology with at least 2 years of experience as a maintainer, technician, or maintenance planner/supervisor
