This position is located at our Hammond, Wisconsin site, about 20 miles east of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.
We are excited to share we are looking for a Quality Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes, including managing SCARs, overseeing lab equipment maintenance and calibration, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
What you'll do
Supplier Quality Management
Create, track, and maintain Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
Work with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and improve quality performance.
Maintain supplier quality records and analyze trends for continuous improvement.
Lab Equipment & Calibration
Oversee maintenance, calibration, and verification of lab equipment to ensure accuracy.
Schedule and document calibration activities in compliance with industry and company standards.
Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for lab instruments as needed.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks on incoming materials and finished products.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO or other relevant industry standards.
Maintain and improve documentation related to quality processes.
Continuous Improvement
Identify areas for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in quality management.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
Strong collaborative interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
High School diploma required. AA/AS in chemistry or related field preferred
Hands-on Quality Assurance experience, preferably 2+ years
Demonstrated ability to work with Company software systems required including, but not limited to MS Office, database skills, and statistical analysis software
Knowledge of lab equipment maintenance and calibration processes Experience with SCAR creation and resolution
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other regulatory standards
