Job Description:

Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking highly motivated Interns to join our team. As an Intern, you will be taking on impactful work, while engaging in dynamic learning experiences and working as a valued member of our team.

General internship requirements:


  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this job opening.
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, reference verification, post-offer drug testing, and background check
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must have access to reliable transportation

What projects will this intern work on?


  • Document Standard Works for the Production floor
  • Interact and support the production floor including (weldry, paint, piping, electrical, and machining)
  • Assist with purchasing support and answering technical questions for suppliers- reading prints, interpreting specifications, and
  • Creating and executing Engineering Tickets, which may include bill of materials updates, print modifications, and CAD model creation.

  • Adherence to dress code, which is casual but appropriate for an office environment
