Quality Control Internship Orlando, FL



Position Overview


We are actively seeking talented individuals to join Preferred Materials for a full-time paid Summer 2025 internship opportunity in our quality control department. The internship program is designed to provide students with a well-rounded and hands on learning experience. As a Quality Control Intern with Preferred Materials, interns will learn how to collect product samples and perform a variety of tests and measures to assess quality and consistency of product.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the quality control management team.
• Collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants.
• Must maintain at all times a strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
• Processes samples using a variety of testing equipment and procedures.
• Preform research and development on new materials to be used.
• Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate with plant staff and area management when needed.
• Ability and desire to learn how the testing of aggregates, cement, fly ash and concrete work.
• Must possess a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors and public.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a construction management or materials science degree related program.
• Strong desire to work in the construction/materials industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
