Job Description: Our staffing firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer for a well-established commercial construction firm in Hanover, MD. This is a fantastic direct hire opportunity to join a growing team that focuses on high-profile construction projects. As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the project management team and ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.



Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing and coordinating all aspects of commercial construction projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation


• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents


• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met


• Perform site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety standards


• Assist with submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders


• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports, ensuring proper communication between all parties


• Track project costs and assist in managing project budgets


• Support the project manager in scheduling and resource management


• Ensure that all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and company policies


• Participate in regular project meetings to discuss project updates, timelines, and issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)


• 1-3 years of experience in project engineering or construction management (commercial construction experience preferred)


• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations


• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management software is a plus


• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, clients, and subcontractors


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications


• Eagerness to learn and grow within the company
