Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
Record journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Prepare and review property-level financial reports for real estate assets.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company accounting policies.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for real estate projects.
Work with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax filings.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of accounting experience (real estate industry experience preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience with real estate accounting, lease accounting, or property management accounting is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
