Department: Center for the Fine Arts Campus - West Campus


Rate of Pay: $25.00/hour

Position Summary:


The Special Projects Professional in the Center for the Arts supports the technical operations of performances, events, and productions within the Center. This role ensures the successful execution of internal and external events by operating soundboards, lightboards, projections, and rail systems. Collaborates with event organizers, faculty, staff, and external clients to provide high-quality production support. Assists in maintaining equipment and troubleshooting technical issues to enhance the overall event experience.


The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends.




Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate Soundboard, lightboard, projections, and rail for various internal and external Center for the Art's users

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and
  
• Up to one year of related experience

or

• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Qlab software, Eos Element and Ion programming, microphone placement and EQ.
• Familiarity with safe rail operation practices.
• Familiarity effective stage management techniques.

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an non-traditional work setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy (over 50 pounds) amounts of weight; to operate various equipment required to perform job. May be exposed to various hazardous conditions such as chemicals, tight spaces or high places, moving mechanical parts, etc.


Vision: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
