Job Summary:




The Lead is responsible for working with the Supervisor and Manager to provide general supervision, coordinate operations of an engagement center nurse Triage program servicing Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin patient and customer needs. Ensures that self and team have the tools and coverage necessary to serve patients in any way possible, particularly with regards to patient care needs and triaging to ensure a quality experience. Tasks are completed for many specialties and physicians across multiple locations of the clinical enterprise following detailed protocols and nurse triage tools. Responsible for team communication, work delegation, quality review, training employees and monitoring of staff performance. Acts as a role model for team members, coaching to consistently deliver exceptional experiences for patients. This position is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for an identified group of patients within the Patient Engagement Center. Responsibilities may include triage (telephone based), providing patient and family education, managing test results, coordinating patient care needs, medication refills and other tasks as assigned from a clinical capacity. Customer-focused and friendly communication skills will provide an exceptional experience and set the stage for patient preference and loyalty to Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin.



EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:



Two years of clinical experience is required. Must meet competencies of an Engagement Center Triage RN. Prior experience as a lead or charge nurse is preferred.



EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:



Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.



TRAINING DESCRIPTION:



Preferred proficiency with Epic Nurse Triage Software and call center technology.

Proven leadership and delegation skills. Demonstrated reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal, leadership, team building and decision making capabilities to ensure effective and efficient operations. Works effectively with leadership, providers and staff to promote a positive patient experience that supports the Mission/Vision/Values. Ability to set priorities and identify and resolve problems with timely follow up and follow through.



LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:



Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
