The Section of Cardiology within the Department of Medicine is a highly collaborative workplace on the main campus of the University of Chicago.
Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Project Manager (PM) will support several Quality Improvement projects within the Section of Cardiology and Heart and Vascular Center. The PM will compile and interpret data related to clinical performance and will engage with clinical staff to improve care processes. The PM will map existing care processes and revise clinical pathways to reflect best practices. The PM will also compile applications for external recognition from several national societies. This is a fully in-person role; no remote or hybrid work.
Responsibilities
Compile and interpret compliance reports and other data.
Map care processes.
Engage with clinical staff to improve processes.
Revise clinical pathways.
Compile applications for external recognition.
Supports data collection and analytical needs of research projects. Conducts literature reviews and helps write reports and manuscripts. Ensures project compliance with different policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
Takes responsibility for the following laboratory duties: recognizing abnormal results and varying conditions or procedures to correct problems; setting up and performing experiments. Analyze the meaning, significance, causes, and effects of the subject.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
