We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time, Call Center Representative at Gastroenterologists of Ocean County in Toms River, NJ.

About the Role:

As a Call Center Representative you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibility will be to manage incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing information about our services. You will be the first point of contact for patients, making it essential to create a welcoming and informative experience. By effectively communicating with patients and healthcare providers, you will help facilitate smooth operations within our healthcare facility. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to improved patient satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our healthcare services.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service role.

  • Experience in a healthcare setting or knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus


Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.

  • Provide information about services, procedures, and insurance coverage to patients.

  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in the system.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.


Skills:

The required skills for this role include strong communication abilities, which are essential for effectively interacting with patients and addressing their needs. Customer service skills will be utilized daily to ensure that each patient feels valued and understood during their calls. Organizational skills are crucial for managing appointment schedules and maintaining accurate records. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with medical terminology, will enhance your ability to provide accurate information to patients regarding their healthcare needs. Additionally, proficiency in EHR systems will streamline your workflow and improve the overall efficiency of patient interactions.
