Job Description:
SUMMARY:
Drive a pickup truck to transport material via small trailers to and from specific locations on Fort Cavazos. Transport contractor owned potable water trailers to and from military training ranges on Fort Cavazos.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive a 3/4-ton pickup truck w/ various lightweight trailers (500gal potable water trailer, cargo trailer, trailer mounted generator light set)
• Transport trailers inside cantonment and other designated training areas
• Load and unload materials from pickup trucks and trailers with or without assistance
• Perform weekly inspections as required on vehicles and trailers for preventive maintenance.
• Make minor mechanical repairs to vehicle and trailers to keep equipment in good working order.
• Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

• This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.
o Hours of work 7:30AM -4:30PM (M-F)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential :
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must possess, at minimum, a state issued Class C driver’s license.
• Excellent personal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines
• Must be able to maintain post driving privileges.
Preferred :
• Prior work with military preferred

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone ; and the manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.
Work performed indoors and outdoors. May involve exposure to inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

• Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.
• Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.
• Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
