What You’ll Get to Do:
Procurement & Supplier Management – Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships for architectural hardware, metals, glass fittings, and tools to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely deliveries. Handle supplier-related challenges, including under/over-shipments, delivery shortages, and price changes.
Planning & Inventory Control – Develop suppliers forecasts, optimize inventory levels, and ensure a steady supply of materials to meet customer and production demands. Analyze inventory and payment terms for financial impact.
Cost Optimization & Market Analysis – Identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze supplier spending, and monitor market dynamics and price movements to define procurement strategies. Lead price-saving initiatives and supplier development programs.
Procurement Strategy Implementation – Execute procurement strategies to ensure continuity of supply and establish alternative sourcing options. Maintain up-to-date supplier lead times, EOQ, and other relevant data in ERP systems.
ERP & Data Analysis – Utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Tandem, EPICOR) and Excel to track KPIs, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Supplier Quality & Performance Improvement – Hold suppliers accountable for delivering of quality products on time. Lead quality improvement programs for vendors and service providers, ensuring consistency in product quality and reliability.
Cross-functional collaboration – Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives and address procurement-related challenges efficiently.
What We Are Looking For:
Education & Certifications – Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (CPIM/CSCP preferred).
Experience & Industry Knowledge – 4+ years in the procurement of direct materials and supplier management in high-volume, high-SKU environments, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or glazing industries. Experience in purchasing and metal fabrication processes.
Technical & Analytical Skills – Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP) and Excel skills (formulas, data analysis). Experience with Power BI and other analytical tools.
Procurement & Negotiation Expertise – Supplier negotiation skills, including managing standard purchase orders, blanket orders, VMI, consignment, and lean inventory strategies. Ability to create supply plans and forecasts using large-scale data.
Soft Skills & Problem-Solving - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication, influencing and persuasion skills.
