The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting 24/7 enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud services. This includes planning, designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and highly available systems across platforms such as Azure and AWS. The role involves optimizing performance, security, innovation, and cost-efficiency of cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure while ensuring the stability of mission-critical systems.

System Design & Maintenance:
Design, deploy and maintain highly available and scalable cloud-based and on-prem systems, ensuring the infrastructure supports company objectives, technology innovation, and ongoing business demands.
Ensure infrastructure devices are up-to-date and patched periodically to maintain devices in a healthy state.
Monitoring & Optimization:
Use cloud-native monitoring tools to track system health and performance.
Analyze data for recommendations to implement changes to optimize system capability, performance, and cost.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure cloud and on-prem systems adhere to IT and security best practices by configuring IAM, Security Groups, VPNs, Azure AD, Intune, Container, Kubernetes, DevOps, and firewall settings.
Manage compliance with industry standards and internal policies including SOC 2 and NIS controls.
Incident Response & Support:
Respond to and resolve system issues and outages in a timely manner, following IT and security incident response.
Conduct root cause analysis and ensure long-term solutions are put in place.
Resolves technical problems related to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Acts as a subject matter expertise in IT related solutions, tasks, and projects.
Seek opportunities to contribute to the business’s success through proactive involvement in the corporate and team initiatives and weekly meetings.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Developers and Product teams, to align cloud infrastructure with application needs and ensure smooth deployments.
Create and maintain clear, concise documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes and system configurations.
Provide regular status reports to management on system health, performance and project progress.
Other Duties:
Provides on-call support on rotational basis for critical issues on IT & Infrastructure Services.
Observe and proactively alert management to recurring problems and patterns of problems.
Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements.
Recognizes and making recommendations for user training to address common support issues.
Manage Azure and AWS Cloud, AD/Domain Controllers, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Entra ID, Servers, Storage, SQL, Containers, Networks, Telecom Systems and Services.
Proactively monitor enterprise systems, report issues, escalate and recommend fixes.
Manage data backup as per retention schedule and restore date when requested.
Support Corporate and remote office network infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 7 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in cloud infrastructure management (Azure & AWS).
Proficiency in Windows/Linux administration.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, Firewalls).
Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, JavaScript).
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure & Office 365 administration.
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex systems.
Positive customer service attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Effective communication with senior leadership.
Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
