Senior IT Asset Manager

Fitch Group is currently hiring an IT Asset Manager based out of our New York office.

We are seeking a demonstrated Asset Manager to join the Information Technology Business Operations team to support the daily management of hardware and software assets across the global organization. This position requires the ability to balance thought leadership, implementation know-how and team facilitation, while exploring new ways of working.

We'll Count on You To:


  • Implement IT asset management strategies, policies, and procedures to efficiently track and control the entire lifecycle of hardware, software, and related assets.
  • Support the build-out and operations of the Technology IT Asset Management practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to staff members to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with business owners and global vendors in sourcing and renewal management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT asset records, including purchase details, maintenance history, warranties, and software licenses.
  • Conduct asset audits and investigate any cases of non-compliance.
  • Manage retirement processes, including data sanitization, removal, and donation activities.
  • Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency through automation.
  • Ensure alignment of IT asset management practices with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What You Need to Have:


  • Minimum of 6 years of direct experience in asset management practices.
  • Experience with both HAM and SAM process modernization and optimization.
  • Solid knowledge of Asset Management technologies and best practices/frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience of Software Licensing, HW/SW procurement, and contract best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills with ability to deepen and build partnerships across business units and external vendors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

What Would Make You Stand Out:


  • Experienced asset management practices in a large global environment.
  • IT Transformation or modernization program experience.
  • Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., CHAMP, CSAM, CITAM) or related field.
  • Knowledge of admin portals, CMDB, and SAM tooling; Jira, Device 42, and ServiceNow, to name a few.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives related to IT asset disposal and lifecycle management.
  • Spanish speaking.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
