Job Title: Hybrid Cath Lab Tech Location: Swedish Facility (Specific Location TBD), Washington State Shift Type:Various with On-Call Requirements Guaranteed Hours: As per contract terms



Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Hybrid Cath Lab Tech with at least three years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in high-acuity procedural settings, requiring expertise in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures. A Washington State license is mandatory. Locals are approved at the travel rate, and first-time travelers are not accepted.



Responsibilities:

• Work in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings, including one hybrid OR.
  
  


• Perform essential cardiac cath lab procedures such as IABP placement/removal, diagnostic catheterizations (adults), left and right heart catheterizations, and ventricular assist device insertion.
  
  


• Operate critical equipment and devices like fluoroscopy (Siemens).
  
  


• Maintain procedural responsibilities such as monitoring, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, and maintaining sterile fields.
  
  


• Respond promptly to on-call duties (6 evenings and 1 weekend per 6-week period), ensuring a 30-minute response time.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in cardiac stent placement, PTCA, PCI, rotablader athrectomy, and temporary pacemaker insertion.
  
  


• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and operate vascular closure systems (e.g., Perclose, StarClose).
  
  


• Familiarity with medication systems (Pyxis), documentation systems (EPIC, McKesson), and communication protocols (SBAR).
  
  


• Knowledge of isolation precautions.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with TAVI/TAVR, Watchman, and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
  
  


• Use of a Rapid Response Team.
  
  

Professional Knowledge:

• Understanding of accurate monitoring and equipment setup.
  
  


• Flexibility and readiness to adapt to high-pressure environments.

• Scrubs are provided.
  
  


• Facility utilizes a medication system (Pyxis) and documentation systems (EPIC, McKesson).
