CNC Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Alloy Precision Technologies in Mentor, Ohio

Job Description:

SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Programming and optimizing the machining of CNC parts
Setting up, implementing, and maintaining Cobots. (A cobot, or collaborative robot, is a robot intended for direct human-robot interaction within a shared space, or where humans and robots are in close proximity.

Help with the implementation of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things)

Assist in the development and implementation of man to machine ratios and throughput (processing & inspection time).

Troubleshoot any existing issues with various types of CNC machines in the shop.

Improve process flow relative to CNC machining.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Two or four year mechanical or manufacturing engineering degree or equivalent work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs as needed. Must be able to move about the shop floor without physical restriction.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Must wear safety glasses and steel-toe or composite toe shoes/boots as required.
