The Epidemiologist conducts rigorous and independent research focused on enhancing Warfighter performance, requiring a deep understanding of epidemiological methods and principles. The role performs advanced analyses such as regression and survival analyses, and supports collaborative research efforts by guiding study design, data analysis, and interpretation of findings. The position serves as a principal investigator on research projects related to military health, focusing on risk factors for illness and injuries. Additionally, the Epidemiologist provides consultative support to investigators and organizations on research design and interpretation of trends from military databases. This full-time position is 100% on-site on the Daleville, AL area.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Secret Clearance required.
Experience with statistical analysis software.
Knowledge in epidemiology and public health along with research experience.
Knowledge of human subjects' protections regulations.
Occasional travel may be required.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.
Performs advanced epidemiological analyses by determining applicability of design, study data, and statistical approaches such as multivariable linear and non-linear regression, mixed effects modeling, and survival analyses.
Supports investigators in a collaborative role regarding appropriate study design, data analyses, and interpretation of research findings. Work involves knowledge and application of epidemiological methods and principles independently as a principal investigator on a variety of research projects focused on the role of risk factors in the development of illness and injuries of military relevance.
Work involves direct consultative support to other investigators, organizations, and agencies regarding appropriate design and interpretation of research as well as providing estimates of the meaning and practical operational significance of trends in data obtained from military databases and other sources.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in Epidemiology or Public Health and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.
