Job Responsibilities:




Position Summary: The System Administrator will maintain all information technology systems and software by upgrading and adding as necessary and making repairs and improvements to keep systems operating at optimum levels.

Exemplify a Safety First approach by obeying safety rules and procedures, wear PPE at all times and immediately address all safety concerns. Promote an environment where zero injuries is the expected standard Oversee administrative duties on all divisional servers and PC's, tablets and cell phones Supervise upgrades on hardware and software systems as required while adhering to SOX and MGIT Auditing guidelines. Support enterprise, cross-divisional Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and CAD (Catia, Auto Desk Inventor Series, etc) systems. Support EDI systems including connections to customers and vendors. Manage enterprise systems backups, including IBM AS/400, file and print servers, SQL database servers, E-Mail, PC's, virtual servers and any other critical data systems. Assist company personnel in development of small applications in MS Office, e-mail systems and/or manage relationships with outside companies to deliver required applications. Assist in continued implementation of the ERP software system, CMS, and other applications. Oversee all installations of company software Assist in management of vendor software agreements/contracts. Notify IT Manager whenever tasks or scheduled work cannot be completed as planned. Oversee all set-up and support of all users on all systems with the highest priority to security given. Develop and maintain network wiring and phone system software. Through classroom training, self training and computer based training, continuously improve levels of knowledge and competency with IT systems and products utilized by Victor Manufacturing. Facilitate help desk activities between the vendor's helpdesk and end-users at Victor Manufacturing Follow and support Victor Manufacturing's and Magna's operating principles Support quality and environmental policies Provide technical support to the plant on off shifts as needed



Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports



Education and/or Experience:

• Two (2) - four (4) year degree in Computer Science or related field


• Two (2) - four (4) years of job related or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Familiar with EDI, bar coding & scanning systems, private networking (IPsec, PPTP, L2TP), firewalls, routers and switch configuration/programming knowledge


• Strong networking experience/background including routers, switches, WiFi, etc., Microsoft products, Windows Server 2012 and above and active directory.


• CAT 5 Network wiring and standards.


• Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations.


• Must communicate well and have good organizational skills

• Proven self-starter


• Able to resolve user problems on a timely basis


• Able to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, instructions, procedures and business correspondence.


• Able to clearly and effectively respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers.

• Able to work flexible hours to be available to three shifts


• Distinguish between primary colors

Physical Demands:

• Involves some physical activity, which generally requires a moderate amount of exertion on an occasional basis. Involves lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally.


• Must be able to distinguish between basic shades of color.

Environmental Conditions:

• General office environment with occasional exposure to general factory environment.
