Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel-Kingman is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Purchasing Administrator. The successful candidate will process requisitions and purchase orders while always looking for ways to drive costs down; ensure accurate costing accounts; conduct warehouse reorders; communicate with current and potential suppliers; set up new vendors; maintain office supply inventory; prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports; follow up on late orders; maintain purchase order files and contractor insurance; and perform other administrative duties as needed. Safety is an important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards to keep safety as the most important thing we do.
