JOB DESCRIPTION:



POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Sanitation Worker - 3rd Shift - Full Time - Amherst, OH 44001




Hours: For 3rd shift, 11pm-7:30am, with overtime required as needed.



Pay: The pay for this position starts at $19.85/HR, includes a shift differential increase for working 3rd shift, and has potential for overtime.


This position is responsible for operating and disassembling equipment as assigned for cleaning, sanitizing work areas and setting up equipment for inspection at start-up, while also adhering to food safety practices and company policies.


RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Cover motors, electrical plugs, and all computer equipment.

  • Clean up excess waste on the floors.

  • Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment.

  • Scour all equipment with a scouring pad and/or chemicals are required.

  • Sanitize equipment and areas with disinfectant, and oil when done.

  • Cleaning of lights, pipes, walls, refrigeration units, etc.

  • Handle and distribute cleaning chemicals and record data.

  • Perform any other work as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.

  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF Requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.



  • Team Members must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.

  • Team Members must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently.

  • Team Members must have the ability to flex/grip with wrist/hands occasionally (less than 5 flexion/minute).

  • Team Member must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently.

  • Team Members must be able to work in extremely hot or cold temperatures in a damp environment.

  • Team Members must work with a noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Team Members must rotate as required for positions, required.



    Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
