Senior Property Accountant- HYBRID!


$80,000-$105,000


We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting functions for a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate has a strong background in real estate accounting, is proficient in property management software, and possesses excellent analytical skills to support financial decision-making.



Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial, residential, or mixed-use properties.


• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.


• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payments and collections.


• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledgers, and tenant accounts.


• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for property performance.


• Handle tenant billings, rent escalations, CAM reconciliations, and lease accounting.


• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including property taxes and sales tax filings.


• Work closely with property managers, asset managers, and external auditors.


• Support year-end audits and financial reviews, preparing necessary documentation.


• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.


• Strong proficiency in property management/accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or AppFolio).
