The salary range for this position is $142,600 - $178,300 per year based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Fenty Social + Digital Art Director is responsible for ideating and executing the lo-fi brand content across multiple channels. The Social + Digital Art Director will work with the Marketing team and will create social + digital first concepts that will complement the brand creative direction that has been developed. The role will partner closely with the Social Marketing team to understand and execute the brand strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create social first creative concepts based on the Brand creative direction set by the Brand Creative team that is cohesive yet delivers on the social strategy and drives engagement.
Lead a team consisting in an in-house editor and producer to deliver on all needs.
Brief and work with external brand partners and creatives on collaborations and co-created content.
Develop and execute paid media concepts and storyboards based on brand needs.
Develop social media storytelling, developing social-first narratives for our key campaigns, alongside daily content needs.
Create content as needed with speed and agility.
Directs photo shoots as needed and manage post-production.
Using final assets, oversees creation of social content.
Work with editors to edit footage / creator footage with socially native features.
Provide creative solutions that meet business objectives; presents creative to Marketing and Social teams.
Establish and maintain brand POV guidelines for content (including music, treatment, etc.).
Develop "social-first" style guides for the social team.
Be a key creative partner for marketing offline eventing.
Be a key creative partner for the visual expression of social content
Source a group of unique, never-before-seen freelance artists and designers for projects.
Fosters strong partnerships with Creative, Brand Management, Marketing/Social, Program Management; leading collaboration/working sessions to drive new ideas/solutions.
Monitors and advocates for process; proactively communicates with peers and Program Management to identify gaps and process improvements.
REQUIREMENTS
College degree; BA or BFA preferred
7+ years' experience in social art direction and design in beauty and/or fashion retail or advertising agency environment
Experience in directly managing a direct report
Experience shooting video with iPhone or DSLR
Expertise in social-first content across organic and paid.
Proficient knowledge of Creative Suite's design and photography applications on Mac Platform including Premiere Pro, InDesign, Bridge and Photoshop
Deep understanding of social & content creative solutions and PR-able ideas
Understanding of digital, social, PR, experiential, emerging platforms, and the evolving media landscape
Experience of working seamlessly with people outside of Creative to deliver non-traditional creative, including but not limited to documentary series, innovative tech, social movement, consumer PR or socially amplified campaigns
Agency or retail experience preferred
Knowledge of the latest design trends and best practices (Digital, Social, Paid Media)
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ease and polish in presenting at executive level, and in a variety of settings: small/large groups, direct reports, managers, formal presentations
Strong leadership, negotiation and consensus-building skills
Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented; time management skills, ability to juggle priorities
Strong relationship-building skills; ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines
Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and meet very tight deadlines
