Technical Program Manager - Mobile & Connected Devices




Job Summary



Seeking a Technical Program Manager to support a mobile engineering team working on a major mobile application across iOS and Android platforms. This role involves a 60% Scrum Master / 40% Project Oversight split, requiring strong agile leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and project execution skills. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and excels at identifying and resolving blockers to keep teams running efficiently.



Must-Have Qualifications

• 
  Mobile Experience: Prior experience working with iOS and Android applications is required.


• 
  Connected Devices: Experience with Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, or similar platforms is highly transferable.


• 
  Scrum Mastery: Strong background in agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and team facilitation.


• 
  Technical Acumen: Ability to follow technical discussions, understand system architecture, and connect action items-coding skills are not required.


• 
  Project Management Tools: Proficiency in JIRA and Airtable (or similar tools like Smartsheets, Asana, or Monday.com).


• 
  Industry Experience: Background in media, sports, or digital product development is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Scrum Master, leading sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and JIRA hygiene.


• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.


• Collaborate with mobile engineers, embedded QA, designers, and product managers to enhance development efficiency.


• Proactively identify and remove blockers, ensuring smooth execution of development cycles.


• Drive process improvements by analyzing team feedback and optimizing workflows.


• Ensure cross-functional coordination between mobile engineering, backend teams, and API teams.


• Manage reporting, status updates, and documentation for leadership visibility.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with offshore teams.
  


• Passion for sports and knowledge of sports industry trends.
