The Senior Director Transactions, Immunology Business Development and Licensing role, within the Global Business Development (BD) department drives external growth initiatives aligned with Sanofi's strategic priorities, particularly in reshaping the portfolio and sustaining innovation in R&D. The BD team focuses on searching, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and closing strategic alliances with external companies. Within this, the Immunology BD Team has played a key role in building a leading pipeline in Immunology & Inflammation and continues to seek external growth opportunities. Reporting to the Head of Immunology BD, this role will oversee deal structuring and execution, business case development, strategic valuation analysis, and stakeholder management. Key objectives include securing external partnerships to enhance Sanofi's pipeline and portfolio, leading negotiations, and supporting acquisitions and divestitures to drive Global Business Unit (GBU) and company growth.

Main Responsibilities:
Support the Immunology BD function to prioritize and close key deals of strategic and / or financial significance for Sanofi.
Lead and direct deal structuring, term sheet and contract development, terms and deal negotiation, and deal execution.
Lead and direct teams in business case development, financial modeling, and accounting and valuation analyses incorporating probability, time, cost, budget impacts, and returns to allow for optimal strategic and investment decision making.
Contribute to team and Therapeutic Area efforts to screen, evaluate, and prioritize external opportunities for collaborations, partnerships, in-licensing, etc.
Lead executed deal handover, including post-mortem analysis and formal meeting, to transition each deal to business owners, sponsor and alliance management as needed.
Establish relationships and trust while collaborating across all levels of the organization
Present opportunities and make recommendations to executive management.
Develop and maintain relationships with a wide array of industry participants including management teams of biotech companies, venture capitalists, academic institutions, and investigators, and investment bankers.
Represent company at industry, investor, and partnering conferences.
About You:
A BA/BS degree required, with a strong preference for an MBA, MD, or PhD in a biomedical field.
Extensive experience in biotech/pharma, with a successful track record in negotiating and executing partnership, licensing, and acquisition deals.
Deep industry knowledge spanning drug discovery, development, and commercialization, with experience implementing partnerships.
Proven negotiation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Strategic thinker and problem solver, with a creative approach to deal structuring, execution, and financial modeling.
Excel in project management, balancing multiple priorities while driving high-performance results
Globally minded, able to travel 20-30% and work across international markets.
The position is based in the Cambridge, MA with availability to travel as required for interaction with external groups and companies, internal teams and stakeholders.
