Responsibilities
Provide outside sales targeting electrical and controls engineering and project management services.
Experience providing solution repair services and new equipment to End Users, Contractors, OEM’s and Engineering firms.
Responsible for all sales efforts in assigned territory including organic growth with existing customers and developing new customers to meet an annual sales budget of $5M - $8M.
Perform direct sales and business development activities which contribute to the growth and retention of business so as to meet or exceed targeted sales goals
Responsible for developing a sales strategy for the company’s engineering and controls business.
Assist in the preparation of estimates, sales proposals, and sales presentations.
Visit assigned account(s) on a regular basis in order to maintain a "strategic relationship" status; identifies necessary account changes and opportunities as quickly as possible.
Maintain industry knowledge and improve technical knowledge based on market requirements
Support our key marketing activities necessary to support sales growth in efforts such as, road shows, national conferences, tradeshows, sales trainings, and various sales engagement activities such as trade organizations.
Support customer accounts from sales, securing purchase orders, terms and conditions, and customer relations
Maintain industry knowledge and improve technical knowledge based on market requirements
Perform job walks. Be a front-line focal point between sales and production to qualify opportunities.
Be able to support lunch and learns and lead customer discussions.
Work with Customer Service group to enhance customer’s buying experience
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industrial service sales experience in engineering consulting and project management services, or related industry.
Experience with control systems (including PLC.DCS, SCADA and HMI), Industrial Networks, Low and Medium voltage systems, Electrical Construction Work Packages, Commissioning/Start-ups and Power Systems (including arc flash and coordination).
3+ years’ experience in a related industry.
High energy goal-oriented team player, excellent internal & external communication, forecasting, and solution selling skills.
Prefer knowledge of the following industry sectors: agri-food, power generation, oil/gas, mining, petro-chemical
Prefer sales and/or production experience with the following:
Construction, outage, and project management
Consultative engineering
Detailed engineering and design
NERC program management and testing services
Solid computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
