Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break) Compensation: Up to $17/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support the efficient and effective delivery of patient care in a clinical setting. This role includes patient registration, insurance verification, collection of co-payments, and scheduling appointments. Join our team to ensure a positive experience for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients upon arrival and manage wait times.
Perform check-in and check-out tasks, including verifying patient demographics and insurance, completing pre-authorizations and pre-certifications, and copying required documents.
Handle payments, including collecting co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issuing receipts.
Manage the cashier box and daily deposits in accordance with company policies.
Assist walk-in patients and visitors.
Conduct periodic cleaning/disinfection of the lobby area.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, redirect calls, and assist callers with inquiries.
Maintain and manage medical records, including scanning, filing, and preparing for scheduled visits.
Process requests for medical records release and maintain logs.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Strong communication and customer service skills (in-person and via phone).
Working knowledge of general office procedures.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Preferred:
1-2 years of relevant experience, including data entry.
Additional Information:
Interviews: Conducted via video.
Training: 2 weeks provided.
Health Screenings Required: Proof of or completion of TB, MMR, Hep B vaccinations. Candidates will also be fitted for an N95 mask upon hire.
