Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Surgery - General Unit. The ideal candidate will perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties according to state Board of Nursing standards. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, performing health teaching and counseling, and providing therapy and treatment to support patient well-being. This position may require floating to other departments within the scope of competency and qualifications and may involve being placed on-call during a regular shift.



Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate health status through the continuous collection and assessment of health data.
  
  


• Provide therapy and treatment directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
  
  


• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
  
  


• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
  
  


• Document patient care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
  
  


• Promote the mission, vision, and values of St. Vincent Healthcare, adhering to service behavior standards.
  
  


• Utilize resources efficiently and perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• ASN from an accredited School of Nursing.
  
  


• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  
  


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  
  


• ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as appropriate for the unit or service.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  
  


• Relevant certifications appropriate for the unit or service.
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to perform the outlined duties satisfactorily.
  
  


• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
  
  


• English language proficiency: Read, Write, Speak.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay range: $60 - $81 per hour.
  
  


• Additional benefits may include stipends (for clinical traveler workers), Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.
